Formstack Sync Maintenance Schedule and Communication Policy

TL;DR

Planned maintenance expected to impact operations will be communicated at least 48 hours in advance.  Maintenance windows: 

Tues 18:00 (6:00 PM) Eastern US (where ETE <= 3 hours)

Saturday 1800 (6:00 PM) Eastern US

Overview 

From time to time it is necessary to perform system maintenance to ensure we maintain a stable, secure, and current Production environment. While we make reasonable efforts to mitigate system impact, sometimes the nature of the work requires that we take the system offline. This document describes our communication policy and lists our maintenance windows.

Communication of Scheduled Maintenance

  • This site is our public facing status page where customers may subscribe to receive notifications that get posted here about outages and scheduled maintenance.

In-App Messages

  • We will post messages to customers in the application about a given outage or maintenance (currently only tied to Connect and not Fusion)

HubSpot / Email (Customer Success / Product) 

  • We will email all customers using HubSpot to inform of the given outage or maintenance 

Notifications shall be posted a minimum of 48 hours in advance of maintenance with greater advance notice given when possible in an effort to minimize impact to our customers.

One hour prior to the start of maintenance a status message shall be posted to status.bedrockdata.com indicating that a planned maintenance period is forthcoming.

Components

The following is a list of components will be itemized on the https://status.bedrockdata.com site. 

  • Connect Platform (all critical components) - connectors, Sync and databases live here and if this dies then integrations die
  • Connect App (frontend) - If this dies then customers can’t access either all of Connect or portions within the app but data continues to sync 
  • Fusion Platform (all critical components) - connectors, Sync and databases live here and if this fails then we will not be able to keep the Fusion warehouses up to date.
  • Fusion Warehouse (data warehouse components) - SQL databases live here.  If this service fails then customers will lose the ability to query the Fusion warehouse.
  • Fusion App (frontend) - If this dies then customers can’t access either all of Fusion or portions within the app but data continues to sync
