ConnectWise Configurations: Setting up a Custom Integration Role in ConnectWise for the Formstack Sync Integration

Customers that do not want to authenticate their Formstack Sync ConnectWise integration using a full administrative user can follow the screenshots below to create a new role with the minimum permissions needed for Sync to function.

Department Setting

We recommend setting a default value for Department on this user as this is a required field when creating new Opportunities in ConnectWise and if this is not set then it will lead to an error in the integration preventing us from creating new Opportunities. 

Table Setup

Disclaimer: Note that if you use a Custom User role instead of a Full Admin, you'll need to ensure the role's permissions remain up to date with any new features that Sync's product team releases for the ConnectWise Connector. If new features require access to new permissions and the role that is authenticating the integration does not have these permissions, it can lead to your integration breaking. 

You need to make sure that the role's permissions are identical to what you see in the screenshots below.
