Important Notes

Events

  • Event data can be directly mapped to an "Event" type object in another system.

  • Event information can be mapped to an activity record via a registration > activity mapping.

Registration

  • A registrant in CVent will create a contact in your other integrated system(s) and, if mapped, will also create an activity for that contact.

  • The Registration Date is used to deduplicate with the other systems "Occurred At" Activity field.

  • You can sync fields that live on the Registration over to  another system's  related contact object.

  • However, syncing data in a many:1 situation (ie, many registrations can be created for a single contact) can result in unexpected sync behavior.  Please talk to our support team for help.

  • A registration mapping can pull data from both events and contacts.

  • Custom fields on the event or contact can be mapped via the registration, but registration questions & responses can't be mapped at this time.

  • Both registration and attendance can be mapped to distinct activities using conditional mapping.  Please talk to our support team for help.

Session Registration

  • Session registrations can be mapped as activity attached to a contact in another system.

  • The Registration Date is used to deduplicate with the other systems "Occurred At" Activity field.

  • Session registration data is accessible by using the "orderDetail" object type in an activity mapping.

  • A session registration mapping can pull data from both sessions and contacts, including custom field values.  However, registration questions & responses can't be mapped at this time.

  • Both registration and attendance can be mapped to distinct activities using conditional mapping.  Please talk to our support team for help.
